How to read it

A liquidation is a forced order, not an opinion.

A long liquidation is a leveraged buyer closed out by the exchange as price fell; a short liquidation is a leveraged seller closed out as price rose. Raw dollar totals mean little on their own — a quiet coin's $2M is a big day, a large coin's $20M is Tuesday — which is why the state above compares AIA with its own 14-day baseline, not with the market. We publish this as detection only: our own research found no reliable directional edge in buying a long flush, and we say so on the liquidation exhaustion page.
